Tecnargilla 2014 going international

 

Tecnargilla (22 – 26 Sept 2014 in Rimini) is the world’s most important showcase of technological and stylistic innovation for ceramic and brick industry, housing over 400 exhibitors from 25 different countries and offering a preview of the products in store for the future. 
Foreign exhibitors count for 40% of the total, with a 10% increase compared to last year. Spain, Germany, Turkey and China are the countries mostly represented; but the trade show hosts companies also from Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Egypt, Greece, Holland, the Czech Republic, Russia, United States, France, UK, Portugal, India, Pakistan and Ukraine.
Official delegations of buyers from Russia, Ukraine, Egypt, Algeria, Lebanon, Tunisia, Morocco, Turkey, Iran, Sub-Saharan Africa, South America and the Balcans are expected. To meet the ever increasing popularity with international trade visitors the exhibition official website tecnargilla.it is now available in Italian, English, German, Spanish, French, Turkish, Chinese, Russian and Portuguese-Brasilian.
Tecnargilla 2014 will also be exploring the world of technology for the brick industry with Claytech, an increasingly popular section that is exclusively dedicated to suppliers of machinery and equipment for this sector. Among the companies exhibiting at Claytech: Bedeschi, Beralmar, Capaccioli, Cismac, Equipceramic, Felipe Verdes, Keller, Linco Baxo, Marcheluzzo Impianti, Sabo, Sacmi Heavy Clay and Tecnofiliere.

Kromatech – Tecnargilla’s section devoted to ceramic design trends, raw materials, glazes and screen printing, will also see the presence of the segment’s leading and most innovative companies. Among the others: Colorobbia, Coloritalia-Wanxing, Esmalglass-Itaca, Esmaltes, Stylgraph, Torrecid, Vidres.
The opening ceremony will be on Monday Sept 22nd; to follow the international conference, and then the ceremony for the third edition of the Tecnargilla Design Award, the competition aiming at singling out the most innovative technology, concepts and materials for decorative applications in the ceramics industry. The theme of this year edition was “Thickness” -
Much focus will be given to the future “digital tile” at the 6th Annual Acimac Meeting on digital decoration and glazing technologies (Sept 23rd) where the main segment companies will show their outcomes on glazes, inks, printers and colour management research.
In cooperation with Societą Ceramica Italiana, Acimac is organizing a series of international seminars aimed at operators and providing an overview of the latest innovations concerning the ceramic production process. All seminars will be held in English. The scientific coordinator of the training project is Paolo Zannini, Professor at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia and president at Societą Ceramica Italiana - I.Cer.S.
This year’s themes will be energy efficiency in the ceramic production process, digital glazing and decoration, large-format tiles, and international technical standards for tiles.
“Ceramic Dreams 2014” is the title of the Tecnargilla exhibition on ceramic trends, organised by the Azzolini – Tinuper firm of architects. The theme is based on the dreamlike world and on how a child would imagine the tile. Dreams as inspiration, as a representation of what there isn’t. Drawings, colours, shapes, finishes: everything  becomes possible.
The last Tecnargilla edition drew 14,822 international operators and 15,636 Italian professionals – which count for 51.4% – making a total of 30,458 visitors.
