KERAPOXY CQ
Maximum hygiene from an epoxy joint
Extremely easy to clean and sanitize: these are the features of Kerapoxy CQ, a dual-component epoxy grout for filling the joints between wall and floor tiles made of ceramic, glass mosaic or impermeable stone material. Features making it ideal for applications in the food industry, swimming pools, hospitals and any area where maintaining maximum standards of hygiene on surfaces is vital.
Easy to apply and to clean
• Its special density makes it easy to apply even on vertical surfaces, with no risk of slipping inside the joints.
• It is significantly easier to clean than traditional epoxy grouting materials because KERAPOXY CQ does not get its colour from pigments but from the special coloured siliceous sands used. An almost completely clean surface is achieved by simply using a rubber spatula to remove it.
• Its superior resistance to chemicals means it can be used for grouting between tiles in industrial applications, laboratory test benches, kitchen countertops and anywhere needing complete assurance of extremely high resistance to challenging environments.
• It offers protection against bacteria and micro organisms, as certified by the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (Faculty of Life Sciences –biotechnology department) in compliance with ISO 22196:2007. The effect of its protection is consistent through the full thickness of the joint.
• It can also be used in environments subject to heavy wear and foot traffic as its properties are not affected by the passing of time.
• It does not release any harmful substances to human health, as certified by its EMICODE EC1 R Plus classification (product with ultra low emission of volatile organic substances) issued by GEV (Gemeinschaft Emissionskontrollierte Verlegewerkstoffe Klebstoffe und Bauprodukte e.V.)
• What’s more, it is available in a range of 21 colours! The impermeability of KERAPOXY CQ combined with its special features makes it ideal for use in any environment where high standards of hygiene are essential. It can even be used for floorings, wall coverings or countertops that have to comply with the HACCP system and meet the requisites of CE standard 852/2004 applying to food hygiene. For normal, residential applications, it is a perfect solution for bathrooms and kitchens.
Like all epoxy products, KERAPOXY CQ cannot be used with permeable surfaces. However, KERAPOXY CLEANER specific cleaning solution can be used on surfaces that are not perfectly smooth in order to remove any residual materials trapped inside any rough areas on the surface of the wall or floor covering.
