Ceramica Rondine acquired by Italcer Group

Italcer Group, controlled by private equity fund Mandarin Capital Partners II (MCP) and owner of La Fabbrica, Elios Ceramica and Devon&Devon, completed the acquisition of 100% of the share capital of Rubiera-based company Ceramica Rondine in October to reach a turnover of almost 200 million euros and EBITDA of more than 35 million euros.
The idea of creating a cluster of mid- to high-end ceramic companies was proposed in late 2016 by Graziano Verdi and MCP with the aim of creating significant manufacturing and sales synergies in the highly fragmented sector of high-quality Italian ceramics.
“We believe we have created a highly significant industrial project,” commented Lorenzo Stanca, Managing Partner of MCP and Chairman of Italcer. Graziano Verdi, CEO of Italcer, notes that the ability to innovate and develop products that meet constantly evolving needs is one of the key features of the top Italian companies which for years have dominated the high end of the world market. “The companies we have chosen all have different distinctive qualities that will enable the Group to establish itself amongst the world’s elite manufacturers and accelerate the development process.”
