Sustainability Report 2017 sets out targets reached by Panariagroup

Panariagroup is presenting its second Sustainability Report drafted in accordance with the GRI Standards published by the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and certified by the auditing company Deloitte.
The 2017 Report shows that the group’s global sustainability strategy and projects have achieved the targets set in the previous edition of the publication. Thanks to the unflagging efforts of all its Business Units located in Italy, Portugal and the USA, Panariagroup has achieved outstanding results: investments of more than 34.4 million euros in ongoing innovation; maximum attention to environmental impact with emissions limited to 9 tCO2 per 1000 m2 of tiles produced; a highly virtuous production process in terms of material recovery, increased use of eco-compatible materials for packaging, and total recovery of water in the production process; continuous investments in human resources with 2.6% growth in the workforce to a total of 1,729 employees; and the launch of a new welfare plan at the Italian Business Unit.
The group closed fiscal 2017 with net profits of 11.4 million euros and sales of 384.6 million euros, an increase of more than 110 million euros in the space of 5 years. Moreover, thanks to its average growth rate of 9% between 2013 and 2017 the group also achieved an increase in market share, while the significant growth in profitability resulted in an EBITDA of 42.7 million euros.
