Ever since it was formed, the association has been a member of Confindustria, the Italian Employers’ Association. This allows the ceramic industry to maintain close links with local, national and international public institutions and thus meet the specific needs of the sector, particularly in the fields of services and infrastructures. Confindustria Ceramica also liaises with other associations and federations at both a national and international level (such as CET and FINCO) in order to promote partnerships and the exchange of information, key factors for the sector’s development. Highly sensitive to issues of the environment, safety and quality, the Association represents the interests of ceramic tile producer companies through participation in organisations such as Certiquality and UNI (Italian National Standards Body). This allows it to keep constantly up to date with standards governing technologies and production processes. As part of its work of promoting ceramic companies and products, Confindustria Ceramica contributes to programmes and projects developed and coordinated by the Ministry of Industry, the Ministry of Productive Activities, the Internationalisation Department and the Italian Trade Commission ICE. |
